Location: Caraga and Davao regions, Mindanao Island.

  • Province of Agusán del Sur: municipalities of La Paz, San Luis, Talacogon and Esperanza.
  • Province of Surigao del Sur: municipalities of Carmen, Lanuza, Cortés and Lianga.
  • Davao de Oro Province (former Compostela Valley): municipalities of Maco, Mabini, Pantukan and Nabunturan.

Dates: 2019 – 2022.

Objectives: resilience to natural disasters increased by climate change, in continuity with the previous agreement with AECID in the Philippines.

  • Rural development.
  • Decentralization and support to regional and local governments.
  • Prevention of climate disasters.
  • Development of green and resilient value chains.
  • Economic empowerment of women.

Beneficiaries: families dependent on long-cycle crops.

Title: ‘Advancing Climate and Disaster Resilience Transformation in the Provinces of Agusan Del Sur, Surigao Del Sur, and Davao de Oro’ (ProACT).

Funded by: AECID and CODESPA Foundation.
